Any uncooked grain – wheat, corn, barley, or rice– is actually a mature seed. When exposed to precise sprouting conditions, the seed’s chemical structure changes in order to support new life, just as a mother’s body changes to support a new child. The mother seed turns its internal starches into vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, and simple sugars to nourish this young plant. As this new plant matures, it consumes those nutrients and leaves the old kernel behind. Our proprietary version of this amazing process locks in all the newly added nutrients, and helps us create healthier and tastier Planet Rice products.
